A 28-year-old Trenton man has been charged in a string of robberies that occurred in Ewing and Trenton. All four robberies that he has been charged with occurred over a short period of time in July from the 7th to the 20th. He’s been arrested and charged with several counts of weapons offenses and robbery. One of the robberies occurred at an Ewing Foot Locker where the suspect told the clerk, “Don’t make this a homicide” before breaking open the registers to steal the cash inside. The footage from this robbery is what investigators say helped the public to identify him as the suspect, and allowed them to bring him in stopping any future robberies. He also is accused of robbing two gas stations and a Dunkin Donuts in Trenton. A witness at the first gas station robbery noted that he had been armed with a handgun during the robbery. Police detectives from Trenton were able to identify that their suspect was the same man as the robbery in Ewing at the Foot Locker, and an arrest warrant was issued for him before he was finally taken into custody.
