For the second time in two days, a man has been arrested for sucker punching an employee working at a Trenton hospital. The 30-year-old who was admitted to the hospital for undisclosed reasons was arrested after allegedly punching a hospital employee for what was ostensibly no reason. Both events occurred while the man was a patient at the hospital but as of yet, there has been no clear motive on what provoked the attacks. The first incident occurred at Capital Health Regional Medical center where the unsuspecting worker told police that he was simply walking through the hallway of the building when the accused punched the man right in the eye which knocked him to the ground. The physical assault was witnessed by hospital security who were able to secure the man until the police had arrived. The victim has reportedly suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage which is described as bleeding from the space between the brain and surrounding tissue that covers it, but because of this man's actions, regardless of his medical diagnosis, he has been charged with aggravated assault. On the very next day while being evaluated at St. Francis Medical Center the man decided to strike another time, once again hitting an unsuspecting employee. In this altercation, he not only fractured the victim’s teeth, but he caused him to have a concussion as well. Unfortunately, security was not able to get to the man who was attacked as quickly as the day prior, as police say that the assaulter repeatedly kept punching the worker in the face who was laid helpless on the ground until he was finally pulled off of him and restrained. As was the case in the first attack, there was no clear motive for why this act of aggression happened as the man was charged with another count of aggravated assault for the second time. After the first encounter the assailant was released on a summons but has since been held on a warrant complaint by officials as he awaits a detention hearing.
