A 27-year-old NJ man with a history of sex offenses will serve a sentence of five years at a state treatment center as well as paying up to $2,700 in penalties for his latest crimes of masturbating at both the Hightstown Memorial Branch Library in 2015 as well as the Hamilton Free Public Library in May of 2017. The East Windsor man has admitted that he was fondling himself while in the presence of young girls at the Hightstown library which led to 9-1-1 being called followed by his prompt arrest, charges he resolved by pleading guilty to two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child through sexual conduct.
Long History of Sexual Offenses Characterize Compulsive Behavior
Due to his prior history of sexual offenses the court determined that the man is amenable to sex offender treatment and will spend his five years of incarceration at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County which is a state treatment center where he can be evaluated. This is because not only was the man found masturbating in front of two young girls in Hightstown and two 12 year old girls in the Hamilton library, but the man had also previously been arrested for possessing or viewing child porn in East Windsor back in 2010 which he pleaded guilty for. In addition he was convicted for child endangerment back in 2005 which led to him having to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law as a teenage minor although the details for that incident have not been released to the public.
Judge Sentences Man to Five Years
Taking all of his prior offenses into account the Judge sentenced the man to five years flat for his convictions in the Hamilton case and three years flat for his conviction in the Hightstown case. These convictions are set to be served concurrently so he will not serve any more than five years total at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center. Furthermore, he will have to register once again due to Megan’s Law and if and when he is ultimately released his parole will have him under supervision for life. This is on top of the fact that he has a restraining order banning him from the Hightstown and Hamilton libraries for life as well as barring him from any contact with his victims due to an aspect of Nicole’s sex law which states that these are the conditions he must abide by.
