A 22-year-old man was shot and killed last month in Trenton, New Jersey. The male, identified as Carter, was found on Cunningham Alley late in the evening. Initially, no arrests were made and the responding police department requested help from the public for information. As of Monday, May 3, 2021, Trenton police have taken three men into custody for the murder.
The case was investigated by a team that was made up of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. In addition to murder charges, the three are also facing weapons charges. The police informed the public that they had identified the three men due to security footage from the area. They also located a weapon registered to one of the men near the scene. As of today, the investigation is still in progress and they have not officially been charged.

- Prison time of between 30 years-life for first-degree murder
- Average of 15 years in prison for second-degree murder

- Prison time of between three-five years for possession of a firearm
- Prison time of up to 18 months for a fourth-degree weapons charge
