Trenton NJ police recently conducted a major investigation that culminated in a drug raid at three local residences. The Trenton Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office launched the investigation after receiving word of illegal drug dealing out of a home located on Walnut Avenue. Detectives then spent more than a month investigating the alleged drug activity and found evidence that multiple people were also distributing drugs out of two residences located on Jarvis Place in Trenton, NJ. Authorities obtained search warrants for the three Trenton houses and conducted drug raids. During the searches of the homes, police allegedly found a large quantity of narcotics, including four bundles of heroin, 15 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Other evidence of drug distribution reportedly included almost $26K in cash believed to represent the proceeds of illegal drug sales. Police officers also allegedly discovered a cache of weapons inside the houses, including a Smith & Wesson .357 revolver, a Lorcin .380 semiautomatic handgun, a Mossberg sawed-off pump action shotgun, swords, knives, a machete, and metal knuckles. The firearms were reportedly loaded with ammunition.
