Police officers recently apprehended a man accused of robbing a TD Bank in Hamilton, New Jersey. The robbery suspect is a 38-year-old resident of Trenton, NJ. According to Mercer County law enforcement, he robbed the TD Bank branch located on the 1100 block of Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road in Hamilton Township. The suspect reportedly entered the building a short time before closing and handed a note to a bank teller. The threatening note reportedly instructed the employee to hand over cash. After getting an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, the suspect allegedly ran out of the bank and got into a red SUV parked just outside the building. Bank employees notified Hamilton NJ police, which dispatched officers to the scene. Hamilton cops soon arrived at the bank and canvassed the surrounding area in search of the suspect. Meanwhile, detectives with both the Hamilton Township Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted a joint investigation into the bank robbery and identified the suspect. Police were able to determine the suspect’s identity by looking at video surveillance footage that reportedly showed the robbery. Just one day later, police tracked down the suspect after getting a phone call about his location. Someone notified law enforcement after recognizing the suspect from a photograph that had been released through the media.
